Contributing to EZC

The generosity of friends of the Zigler Center is required to maintain the scope of our research, policy, public information and training programs. Donors are essential in helping us support our mission to improve the well being of children and families by bringing objective child development research into the policy and public arenas. How to Donate

Online

A gift can be given online through the YALE >> Tomorrow Campaign site. In Step 1, select "School of Medicine" and type "Zigler Center" under the "Other" space.

Checks

A gift of cash entitles you to the most generous federal income tax deduction available for charitable contributions. You may deduct up to 50% of your adjusted gross income for gifts of cash and may carry any amount over that figure forward for up to five additional years.

Marketable Securities

A gift of appreciated securities that you have held for more than one year is frequently the most economic way to give. You will be eligible to take a federal income tax deduction equal to the fair market value of the stock on the date of the gift for up to 30% of your adjusted gross income and will not have to recognize the appreciation as capital gain. When you are ready to make a gift of securities to the Center, please call the Development Office at (203) 436-8558 for information on the proper procedure.
